1. What Information We Collect

Information you give us

When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. When you use the Service, we collect the hook scripts you submit, along with your content preferences such as niche, platform, and creator style. When you upgrade to a paid plan, payment details are handled entirely by our payment processor — we never see or store your card number.

Information we collect automatically

When you use the Service, we automatically collect certain technical information: your IP address, browser type, operating system, the pages you visit, how long you spend on them, and general usage patterns. This information helps us keep the Service running reliably and understand how people use it.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate the Service — analyze your hooks, generate scores and rewrites, and save your history.
  • Manage your account — authenticate you, track usage, and manage your subscription.
  • Communicate with you — send receipts, plan updates, and service-critical notices. We do not send marketing emails without your consent.
  • Improve the Service — understand usage patterns and fix issues using aggregated, anonymized data.
  • Comply with the law — meet legal obligations or respond to lawful requests.

We do not use your hook content to train AI models. We do not sell your data. We do not show you ads.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only in the following limited circumstances:

Trusted service providers

We work with third-party companies to help operate the Service — for authentication, data storage, AI processing, payments, and hosting. These companies are contractually required to use your data only to perform services on our behalf and are prohibited from using it for any other purpose.

AI processing

The hook text you submit is sent to an AI provider to generate analysis and rewrites. This provider operates under a data processing agreement and does not use your content to train its models.

Legal requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety, rights, or property of Attencly, our users, or others.

Business transfers

If Attencly is acquired or merges with another company, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change in advance.

4. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We use session cookies (which expire when you close your browser) and persistent cookies (which remain until they expire or you delete them).

We do not use advertising cookies or tracking technologies that follow you across other websites.

You can configure your browser to block or delete cookies. Doing so may affect your ability to stay logged in to the Service.

5. Data Security

We take reasonable precautions to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss — including encryption in transit and at rest, and strict access controls so that only your account can access your data.

No system is completely secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at privacy@attencly.com.

6. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Specifically:

  • Your hook history is kept until you delete it or your account
  • Account information is kept until you request deletion
  • Payment and transaction records may be kept for up to 7 years for legal and accounting purposes

When you delete your account, we permanently remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Regardless of where you live, you can:

  • Delete your hook history — at any time from your dashboard.
  • Request a copy of your data — by contacting us.
  • Delete your account — by contacting us. Data is removed within 30 days.
  • Opt out of emails — using the unsubscribe link in any email we send.

To make any of these requests, contact us at privacy@attencly.com.

8. California Residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act:

  • Right to know — what personal information we have collected about you in the past 12 months.
  • Right to delete — your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
  • Right to opt out of sale — we do not sell personal information. This right is fully satisfied by our practices.
  • Right to non-discrimination — exercising your rights will not affect your access to the Service.

To submit a CCPA request, email privacy@attencly.com. We will respond within 45 days.

9. European Residents (GDPR)

Why we process your data

We process your personal data based on: (a) contract — to provide the Service you signed up for; (b) legitimate interests — to improve the Service and prevent abuse; (c) legal obligation — where required by law; and (d) consent — where you have given it.

Your rights

If you are in the EU or EEA, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@attencly.com. We will respond within 30 days.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have done so, we will delete it promptly. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

11. International Users

Attencly is available worldwide. Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including countries that may have different data protection standards. Where we transfer data internationally, we take steps to ensure appropriate protections are in place, consistent with applicable law.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and notify you by email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
